Love your Galaxy Note but find yourself wishing you had access to a pocketable screen that was even larger than 5.3 inches? Why not head over to Epson’s website and order yourself the Moverio BT-100 Wearable Display?

For about $700 (shipping is free) you’ll be able to slide on a pair of pico projectors that are capable of creating a virtual display up to 80 inches in size at a perceived distance of about 16 feet. As you’d expect, since there are two projectors attached to the Moverio’s see-through lenses, the setup is fully 3D-capable.

The BT-100 also features an integrated lithium rechargeable battery that provides around six hours of continuous use, built-in earbuds, and 1GB of onboard storage and microSD expansion. Epson throws in a 4GB card for good measure, though you can use cards up to 32GB. 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity is included too, so you’ll be able to stream video and enjoy multiplayer online gaming anywhere you can pick up a signal.

Epson has built the BT-100 atop Android, and the goggles are connected to a control module that features a trackpad and the usual navigation buttons. It’s not nearly big enough to facilitate multi-touch gaming, but it’s fine for flicking through Epson’s custom 3D user interface.

This isn’t a full-fledged set of augmented reality specs or anything, but if you’ve got some extra cash to burn and are looking for an innovative way to “enjoy content in private” no matter where you might be, the BT-100 is an interesting, if expensive option.
