ViewSonic this week announced its new PJD6 Series DLP projectors specifically designed for both classroom and corporate environments. The PJD6253, PJD6223, and PJD6553w are all equipped with Creestron RoomView network management software that enables centralized control for up to 250 projectors, along with an advanced real-time alert system with status updates regarding power, lamp life, and unit presence.

These are also ViewSonic's first projectors to receive AMX certification. In addition, ViewSonic baked in its Smart ECO technology to adjust lighting as necessary, which in theory could deliver automatic energy savings of up to 70 percent and a longer lamp life of up to 6,000 hours, ViewSonic says.

"The technology leveraged was specifically designed to deliver a bright and vivid image, making these advanced DLP projectors a cost-effective solution for multimedia enjoyment and effective presentation execution. We are also very pleased to be a partner of AMX InConcert Program. It demonstrates ViewSonic's commitment to the education and enterprise markets as going forward, all our new projectors will be certified with AMX," said Roger Chien, projector product manager for ViewSonic.

The PJD6253 and PJD6223 are both advanced, networkable XGA (1024x768) projectors, while the PJD6553w has a WGXA (1280x800) native resolution ideally suited for 720p HD viewing in the classroom, living room, and boardroom, ViewSonic says.

Both the PJD6253 ($559) and PJD6223 ($709) are available now in North America and Latin America. The PJD6553w ($749) will be available in mid-November.
