Dell Latitude ST Windows 7 Tablet Pictures

Confirming pretty much every detail we saw in an earlier leak, Dell has announced the Latitude ST, a Windows 7 tablet focused on "business, healthcare, and education." Available November 1st, the tablet features an Intel Atom Z670 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, front and rear web cams, Gorilla Glass, HDMI-out, up to 128GB of storage, and mobile broadband options. There's an included stylus (and a built-in silo to store it) so users can get precise input on the 10.1-inch screen. It will weigh 1.8 pounds and Dell believes it will get about seven hours of battery life.

In addition, Dell will offer a custom dock so the tablet can be used along with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Dell will also include custom software for education and heathcare providers. Despite the business focus, Dell told PCWorld that the Latitude ST will also be made available to regular consumers — an option that was hard to come by with HP's Slate 500. No word yet on pricing or if it will be upgradable to Windows 8 when that OS becomes available.
