Toshiba has just launched the follow-up to its Thrive Android tablet, reducing its new size to 7-inch. The Toshiba Thrive 7-inch tablet still boasts of a Tegra 2 processor and a 7-inch AutoBrite LED backlit display with similar 1280 x 800 resolutions as the 10-inch Thrive tablet. Additionally, the Thrive 7-inch tablet also comes packed with a 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras, Wi-Fi, Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, HDMI, and a microSD card slot. The 7-inch Toshiba Thrive tablet will be available in 16GB and 32GB iterations. According to the Toshiba product site, the 7-inch Thrive is scheduled for a November release date, however others are reporting that it won’t be coming out until December. Still, you can sign up to be notified of its availability via email. Does a 7-inch Android tablet appeal to you at all considering that there are other 10-inch tablets available in the market now? It does to me. In fact, I think that the 7-inch spot is the sweetest among tablet sizes. That is of course if you take into consideration that tablets are supposed to be portable and easy to carry around.
