Getting its gear ready for the impending Bulldozer launch (fingers crossed for no more delays), Biostar has developed and launched the TA990FXE, an ATX motherboard based around AMD's 990FX/SB950 chip combo.

Targeting gamers and overclockers, Biostar's board supports up to 140W AM3+ processors and has four DDR3-2000 memory slots, five SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, three PCI-Express x16 slots (CrossFireX capabilities are included), one eSATA connector, Gigabit Ethernet, and four USB 3.0 ports - two on the back plate, two via a header.

The TA990FXE also boasts 7.1 channel audio, a FireWire port, a debug LED, and includes Biostar proprietary technologies like the G.P.U (Green Power Utility) for optimal power consumption at low system load, the Rapid Switch for quick restart, BIOS Flasher and the BIOS Relife for updating or recovering BIOS from a USB drive, and the BIO-Remote 2 for remote control of home media system components from Android and Apple mobile devices. The board's availability and price tag were not announced.
