Samsung is up with their next wonderful device. Christened Samsung NP700Z7C-S01US is a powerful laptop from the Series 7 line up. The notebook powered with the Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processor is now open for pre-orders at J&R.

This is really interesting as Intel had recently confirmed that their Ivy Bridge processors will not launch until June. Though J&R offers the new Samsung laptop at a price of $1499.99, the retailer has not revealed the estimated shipping date of the device.

The NP700Z7C-S01US ‘Nike’ sports a 17.3-inch Full HD LED Backlit display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolutions. Under the hood, the notebook is equipped with an Intel Core i7-3615QM 2.3GHz quad-core processor with Intel Turbo Boost, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM and 1TB SATA hard drive.

In addition, the laptop is integrated with Intel HD Graphics 3000, SuperMulti DVD±R/RW and a1.3-megapixel HD web camera with low-light support. The notebook pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity and a multi card slot that supports SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC chips.

Along with the 8-cell lithium-polymer battery, the Express Cache technology allows the device in using 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard to increase the speed.

The silver notebook comes with a design that looks similar to the Samsung’s Chronos lineup devices. The retailer’s listing of the Nike name has triggered confusion, and many guess it might be the successor of Chronos series or just a codename. Are you pre-ordering the device?
