Pinkberry becomes latest SingleTap partner of Google Wallet
Google just announced on its blog that the wildly popular frozen yogurt shop, Pinkberry, has joined its Google Wallet network of merchants offering its SingleTap payment option. In addition, owners of the Samsung Nexus S 4G can take advantage of the new partnership, as the search giant includes a Pinkberry Featured Offer in Google Wallet to get 10 percent off any one Pinkberry when you use your Google Wallet to pay. This offer is good for use at select stores until April 30, 2012.
Before you get ready to head over to your local Pinkberry you should know the bad news. Right now, the popular yogurt retailer only accepts Google Wallet at select stores in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., there’s no word to when it’ll rollout to other cities or states. This is great news if you happen to live in New York, as all 69 stores starting today will offer a Google Wallet.
Also, if you live in the Los Angeles area Google will be holding a free tasting event at several Pinkberry stores to celebrate its partnership with the large frozen yogurt chain.
Unfortunately, for poor schmo’s like myself, we’re left without the convenience of a SingleTap payment — so, I guess I’ll continue to pay like normal people at my local Pinkberry.
