White HTC Sensation XE Smartphone Specifications and Pictures
The current smartphone market is dominated by handsets that come with a form factor that is designed based on the ugly slab of black plastic design tradition. However, manufacturers also come up with white versions of these devices to take care of the needs of that portion of the population who have had enough of these black-slab designs.
Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer HTC seems to be riding this bandwagon of giving its devices a white paint job and just last week, we heard reports claiming that the company is in the process of preparing the launch of a white HTC Sensation by March. This time around, another handset from the Sensation line of devices will get a white paint job in the form of the HTC Sensation XE.
In the case of the HTC Sensation XE, we think the white version of the handset looks a whole lot better that the original that came with a gray colorway. The question though right now is that given the fact that the company is poised to release two new superphones towards the end of February, would our smartphone-crazed brethren be willing to part with their hard-earned dinero just to rock a white HTC Sensation XE?
While waiting on what reception the white version of the HTC Sensation XE will get, let us first take a quick look at the specs sheet of the device to give us a better handle of its components and capabilities.
The HTC Sensation XE was made official back in September of last year and the handset became available for purchase off the shelves a month later. It measures 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm and it tips the scales at 151 grams.
Under the hood, the HTC Sensation XE has some souped-up internals that will definitely feed your need for speed. The handset’s Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system is being run by its QualComm MSM8260 SnapDragon chipset with its dual-core Scorpion processor providing the device with 1.5 GHz of processing power. Though the processor only has 768 MB of RAM to rely on for support, the combination is still deadly enough to ensure that performance of the device is always snappy and stutter-free. The handset also comes with 4GB of onboard storage which can further be expanded by using the handset’s dedicated microSD card slot for addition storage space.
In terms of its display, the HTC Sensation XE comes with a massive 4.3-inch SuperLCD capacitive multitouch panel with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. HTC’s custom Sense UI is overlaid on the operating system of the handset and its Beats Audio integration complete the entertainment department of the HTC Sensation XE. The device also brings to the table an 8-meagpixel shooter at its back panel and a VGA camera at its front bezel.
True enough, the HTC Sensation XE is one of the more attractive Android-powered handsets available in the market today and a white paint job will only take the attractiveness of the device to higher levels.
