Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G Specifications and Pictures
Sprint's Samsung Conquer 4G, announced back in August of last year, will be coming to MetroPCS with LTE capability, as we've heard back in December. We've just learned that the retail branding for the device will be "Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G". This seems to fit a certain naming convention with the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G confirmed for a late-March launch on T-Mobile.
The Samsung SCH-R940, codenamed Tikal, and retail branded Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G is expected to pack, just like its Sprint counterpart, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.5-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera, and a 1.3-megapixel webcam and MetroPCS specific 4G LTE connectivity-support (though the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G on T-Mobile packs better specs despite a rather similar name). Don't expect any Ice Cream Sandwich goodness; instead, it will probably ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out-of-the-box.
