OCZ has expanded their Agility 3 SSD lineup with the launch of a 180GB and 360GB Model. OCZ Agility 3 line of SSDs are aimed at mainstream users and is under their flagship Vertex 3 line of SSDs. Agility 3 uses the same SandForce SF-2281 controller but with cheaper NAND flash memory. The new 180GB drive has filled the gap between the current 120GB and 240GB models, while the 360GB drive has filled the gap between 240GB and 480GB models.

Let’s talk about performance, the 180GB model gives sequential read rates of up to 525MB/s and writes up to 500MB/s with 35,000 IOPS 4K random write performance. The 360GB model is also rated for read rates of up to 525MB/s but write rates are only up to 495MB/s and the same 35,000 IOPS 4K random write performance.

Agility 3 180GB is priced at 19,000 JPY which is about US$ 256 and the Agility 3 360GB is priced at 36,000 JPY which is about US $447.
