If you’re in the market for a set of new headphones, you might want to take a look at Ultrasone’s new series of headphones under their Signature PRO line, which the company is touting to be “made in Germany” handcrafted headphones that are targeted towards the “discerning music lover” and “professional users”.

These Signature PRO headphones are handcrafted and feature glass nameplates on both ear cups, black leather and a “special” soft-touch coating which Ultrasone claims will provide both a pleasant and firm grip, along with the head pad and ear cup pads being made out of Ethiopian sheep’s leather.

In terms of specifications, the Ultrasone Signature PRO headphones will feature a 40mm titanium-plated sound transducer and a frequency range of 8Hz to 42kHz, an impedance of 32 Ohm, sound pressure levels of 98dB, and comes with two Neutrik connectors – one at 1.5m long with a 3.5mm gold-plated audio jack, while the other measures 3m long with a 6.3mm stereo jack.

The Ultrasone Signature PRO is currently available from Ultrasone’s website for a whopping $1,299. More Signature models are being planned for 2012.
