Mobilicity To Release Galaxy Nexus Pictures

Canadian provider Mobilicity has revealed over Twitter that it will get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on February 6. This would be the first provider to bring the handset to an AWS 3G network. Mobilicity doesn't require post-paid contracts.

Mobilicity's closest competitors that use the same 1,700MHz band for 3G in Canada, Wind Mobile and Videotron, only said that they will offer the Galaxy Nexus soon. It's expected they may launch it at the same time, or very near to the same date. Pricing at any of the carriers isn't being revealed, however, but due to the nature of the carriers, it won't be subsidized, and could cost as much as the $600 or $650 CAD for an off-contract device at Rogers or Bell.

Verizon remains the sole US carrier to offer the Galaxy Nexus, though the HSPA version of the handset supports AT&T and T-Mobile networks. Sprint will get its own CDMA-plus-LTE version of the handset sometime soon.
