The Android tablet market seems like it is slowly becoming saturated, as new devices are hitting stores just about every couple of weeks now.

Still, if you looking for a new Android tablet that comes with a data plan, you might want to check out the new Pantech Element. The tablet landed at the carrier today for $299.99 with contract or $449.99 without.

The specs are nothing particularly special - except for the fact that the tablet sports a waterproof design. And, as expected, the Element supports any of the data networks operated by AT&T, including 3G, HSPA+ and LTE.

The tablet is loaded with an APQ 8060 processor running at 1.5GHz, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, and 16GB of onboard storage - which can be expanded using memory cards up to 32GB in capacity.

The device also features a capacitive, multi-touch 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 that supports 16 million colors.

The operating system is Android 3.2 and Pantech equipped the Element with a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The tablet includes a USB port, HDMI out, microphone jack, speakers, as well as an integrated microphone for video chatting.

I'm honestly not sure what to think of this tablet. Personally, I’d like to see more reviews before plunking down my money. Yes, the specs are pretty decent, but for $300, I think you might be able to find a better performing device. However, this one does support real 4G LTE if you happen to live in an area with coverage. Fortunately, AT&T plans to cover a lot more of the US in LTE goodness this year and next.
