LG Z430 14-inch Ultrabook Specifications and Pictures
LG announced two new Ultrabook models at CES in Las Vegas and Pocket-lint was on hand to have a quick play with the new models.
The LG Z430 is a 14-inch Ultrabook that is just 19.9mm thick and weighs just 1.5kg. Clad in metal, it certainly looks the part.
Looks are one thing but what about performance? Well, although we weren't able to give the Z430 a proper going over on the show floor, our quick play with the new laptop suggests it is going to be easy and enjoyable to use.
The Ultrabook comes with a second generation Intel Core i7 processor, features wireless screen sharing technology with Intel Wireless Display (Wi-Di) support and up to 500GB, yes 500GB, of SSD storage.
Other features you'll want to shout about, if you buy one, are the 12 second boot time and the inclusion of microSD card and HDMI sockets on the sides. You'll also get Thunderbolt support too.
The keyboard is very comfortable to use, the trackpad big enough to allow you to get from one side of the screen to the other with a single stroke and overall we were impressed.
The LG Z430 Ultrabook is expected to be launching some time before March. No word on pricing as of yet.
