Phones 4u has began selling the Samsung Galaxy Y in White, following the release of its darker-hued brother.

You can grab a free White Samsung Galaxy Y from Phones 4u on a 24 month £15.50 tariff, which also gets you 100 minutes, 3000 texts and 100MB mobile data. However, those of you who are constantly on Facebook and firing off emails may want to upgrade to a more expensive tariff. A £21.50 O2 tariff, for example, gets you 100 minutes, 500 texts and a much-more healthy 500MB of monthly data.

Pay as you go customers can also pick up the handset which Phones 4u has priced at f£79.95, and thanks to the retailer’s Christmas promotion, you’ll also get a free £10 top-up.

If you’re still not sold on the Galaxy Y, here’s a quick rundown of the handset’s specs. The mid-range smartphone touts a reasonable 832MHz chipset and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), powering its 3-inch capacitive screen. There’s also a 2 megapixel rear-facing camera, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, to 32GB of expandable memory and Swype.
