Panasonic 4.3-inch qHD Android Smartphone Specifications and Pictures
Once again, Panasonic has confirmed that it’s going to launch Android smartphones outside its home country (Japan), this time actually presenting a handset that will be out in Europe next year.
The handset (pictured below) doesn’t have a name yet, but it looks nice, and is really thin. We know it has a 4.3 inch qHD display. Moreover, the device has NFC capabilities, and is dustproof and waterproof.
Panasonic said the new smartphone would be out in Europe in March – at about the same time with its Toughpad A1 Android Honeycomb tablet. The company didn’t announce what version of Android the smartphone will run, but it could (should?) be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Panasonic hopes to sell “1.5 million smartphones in Europe next fiscal year”, and intends to launch handsets in the US, China and other Asian markets at some point.
