Today Nokia announced that its second Windows Phone 7.5 powered smartphone, the Lumia 710, is now shipping. The mid-tier smartphone is now available in Taiwan, and will be available in Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India within a week.

The Lumia 710 features a 3.7-inch ClearBlack TFT(INFO) touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512MB of application RAM and 8GB of storage. A 5 megapixel camera handles photo and video (720p) duties, and the phone support guad-band GSM and HSPA 14.4Mbps 3G data speeds on the 900, 1900, and 2100MHz bands.

A U.S. version of the Lumia 710 is expected to be launched by T-Mobile at a New York press event that is to take place on December 14.
