HIS Radeon HD 6930 IceQ X Graphics Card Specifications and Pictures
HIS decided to be quick and revealed a new graphics card just before the holidays, although, technically, it might not actually start selling in time for them.
With just a few days to go before Christmas, people are probably scrambling for a last present or two.
HIS's new product might not get to figure into their options, but at least prospective buyers get to know what to expect.
The HIS Radeon HD 6930 IceQ X video card, as it is called, comes at a rather strange time, though.
After all, with the Radeon DH 7000 series already showing up for pre-order, the 6000 series will get to experience a gradual decrease in prospective buyers.
Then again, when the price is of under $200 (153.79 Euro), not many people will have a reason to complain.
The graphics board has the blue PCB (printed-circuit board) that HIS' IceQ cards commonly utilize.
Also, the IceQ X cooler, with its 92mm fan and four heatpipes, is sure to keep the product nicely ventilated.
That said, the GPU (graphics processing unit) operates at a frequency of 750 MHz, while the 1 GB of GDDR5 features a clock speed of 4,800 MHz. Furthermore, the memory interface is of 256 bits.
Other specifications include a maximum resolution of 2,500 x 1,600 pixels (single display), CrossFireX support (multi-GPU configurations) and the multi-display EyeFinity technology.
Of course, EyeFinity demands enough video outputs, but HIS went a little beyond that and threw in five, not just three of them.
The list is made of HDMI, dual-DVI and dual mini DiplayPort (fits with the card model number of HIS 6930 IceQ X 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2xDVI/HDMI/2xMini DP).
This is the first Cayman-powered Radeon HD 6930 to ever reach the market and shouldn't be that much weaker than the Radeon HD 6950. Go here to see the product page.
