ZTE Chorus Android Smartphone Launched By Cricket Pictures

Cricket has just announced yet another Muve Music Android smartphone, the ZTE Chorus which is now available for a suggested retail price of $119.99 (90 EUR) with a new two-year agreement.

However, Cricket offers an excellent deal on the ZTE Chorus, which will be available for as low as $39.99 (30 EUR), for a limited time, when paired with the carrier’s $55 per month Muve Music plan.

Although the phone was rumored to be released by Cricket for quite a while, no details about the phone’s specs sheet emerged until now.

At first glance, the ZTE Chorus’ hardware configuration seems disappointing, especially given the fact that it’s equipped with a low-performance 600 MHz processor and sports a mediocre 2-megapixel camera (camcorder included).

“We are excited to bring the ZTE Chorus to our line-up of Muve Music enabled phones. With the enhanced audio features, it's like having your music library with you wherever you go. The quality music experience of Muve Music and the great value the ZTE Chorus offers offer an unbeatable combination for our customers,” said Matt Stoiber, senior vice president, devices for Cricket.

Aimed at music lovers, the ZTE Chorus features a bar form factor and is fully compatible with Cricket's unlimited Muve Music service.

Among other music-related features offered by the Chorus, there’s SRS WOW HD technology for advanced audio playback quality.

Obviously, the phone comes with an Equalizer that allows users to customize their sound preferences with SRS sound settings that complement popular music styles including acoustic, blues, hip hop, pop and rock.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone comes with a sub-par 3.2-inch WQVGA resistive touchscreen display, stereo Bluetooth, as well as speech recognition capabilities.

"ZTE is again pleased to work with Cricket to bring consumers an affordable device with unique features that enhance the mobile experience. The ZTE Chorus was designed to enrich users' interaction with their music without sacrificing the functionality of a well-built phone," said Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA and President, North America Region, ZTE
