Verizon HTC Rezound 4G Specifications and Pictures
Verizon’s HTC Rezound became available yesterday. This is Big Red’s first smartphone to come with a 720p HD touchscreen, as well as with Beats Audio integration. The HTC Rezound is one among a few top of the line devices that the carrier has prepped for this holiday shopping season, and it’s one of the most powerful phones ever launched.
If you get the Rezound directly from Verizon, you have to shell out no less than $299.99 upfront, and sign a new two-year contract. That price point is (sadly) starting to turn into a standard for Verizon’s high-end smartphones that come with 4G LTE connectivity. Gone are the days when you could get any top of the line device for $199.99. Or are they?
Well, not if you don’t have anything against buying the Rezound from Amazon. The retailer has cut the superphone’s price by a very cool $100, now offering it for $199.99 with a two-year contract. That still isn’t cheap, but at least it’s decent, especially considering the Rezound’s specs, and also the fact that it’s only been available for one day. If this trend continues, it will have its price cut by big third party retailers even more in the coming weeks and months.
The HTC Rezound has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Bluetooth 3.0, an 8MP rear camera with a wide-angle lens, 1080p video recording ability, 16 GB of built-in storage, and a 16 GB microSD card preinstalled. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense UI.
