Sharp recently launched a new tablet in Japanese market — the Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B. This one’s a 7-inch slate tablet based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor.

What is interesting about this device is that it has in-built WiMAX and also functions as a router, with the capability to connect up to seven devices. It support download speeds of 40Mbps and upload speed of 10Mbps.

Specification include 7-inch multi-touch display (1,024 x 600), 1GB RAM, in-built 8GB storage, 5MP front camera, 2MP rear camera, microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Android 3.2.

The Sharp Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B will be available in Japanese market from December 9.
