Barnes and Noble has announced a new limited edition version of the Nook Simple Touch eReader. The tablet is the same as the original inside with the difference being that the limited edition version gets a special white back. You can tell if you look close at the photo that the edge around the black bezel in the photo is white.

The price gets cut by $20 for the holidays too from $99 to $79. The white version is offered in stores only and only while the supplies last. Presumably once the supply is gone the special price will be gone too. The Simple Touch has a 6-inch E ink screen perfect for reading.

That screen doesn’t have glare like a normal LCD. It has a battery life good for over two months. The pages turn quickly and the device has WiFi. EReaders will be a huge gift this year.
