Huawei Technologies, maker of quality and affordable smartphones, has just raised the bar a notch higher by announcing two new Android devices. The Huawei Vision and the Huawei MediaPad are Huawei’s latest Android ammo in its arsenal, presumably to make Huawei compete better in the Android gadgets arena.

The Vision and the MediaPad are positioned to first set foot on U.K. soil before other countries. The U.S. market will have to wait a bit longer for these two gadgets’ arrival. The Vision would already be available in the U.K. this Christmas while the MediaPad will be available early 2012.

The Huawei Vision is an Android smartphone that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The form factor of this gadget is designed to take on the big guns like HTC, Samsung, or Motorola. Its aluminum alloy casing, whose colors can range from rose gold, silver or charcoal, exudes elegance.

The 3.7 inch display screen hides a 1.0-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor underneath it. The 5-MP camera at the back can capture 720p HD videos. The Vision also comes with a limited 2 GB of built-in storage space which can easily be expanded up to 32 GB through the microSD card slot.

The Huawei MediaPad, on the other hand, is a tablet running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The form factor of this tablet looks very close to the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The 1.2-GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor inside the MediaPad should set it apart from other Android tablets of similar features. The tablet’s 7-inch screen sits on a lightweight casing that is 10.5 mm thick. The device is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G network connectivity.

The expected prices of these two Android devices are reasonable and competitive. The Huawei Vision will reportedly be available for a monthly subscription of £25. The Huawei MediaPad can be bought for £330.

The Vision and the Mediapad are two very enticing Android gadgets. The new smartphone is about to be released soon. Can it live up to the high expectations or will it fall short? Let’s wait and see. Meanwhile, the tablet fans will have to wait until next year, but it won’t hopefully be a long wait.

If you have never considered buying a Huawei-made Android device before, would you consider buying either the Vision or the MediaPad?
