Antec has just released a new member of its Performance One Series of cases with the introduction of the P280 enclosure. Designed for quiet computing, the P280 offers a sophisticated look and a new set of features. Like other members of the Performance One Series, the P280 incorporates technologies to quiet the computer such as sound-dampening steel/polycarbonate side panels, a triple-layer front door and hard drive trays with preinstalled vibration-reducing silicone grommets. The interior of the P280 is roomy enough to support up to XL-ATX motherboards and a four-GPU configuration. The P280 includes tool-less optical drive bays and 3.5” drive trays that are also compatible with 2.5” drives. Antec also took care to ensure there is plenty of room (30mm) behind the motherboard tray for routing cables and included a total of six cable routing holes, four of which are grommet-lined. The enclosure also has room for two internal 120mm intake fans and the front and PSU intakes include removable filters. There is also a fan power hub allowing you to connect four 3-pin fan connectors on a single Molex. Antec has said the case will become available in North America in late November and Europe will see the case in early December. pricing is expected to be $139.95 and € 139.
