Acer Allegro Windows Phone Mango Specifications and Pictures
The first Acer-branded Windows Phone handset, officially known as the Acer Allegro, will be heading to Blighty on December 1.
The handset, previously outed as the Acer W4, was officially unveiled in France at the end of October – with no details of a UK release. However, Expansys has posted a holding page for the Mango-powered smartphone, confirming that it’ll be coming to Blighty in just three weeks time.
Available in both Black and White flavours, the Acer Allegro comes running the latest version of Microsoft’s OS – equipping it with “over 500 new features” compared to the original version of Windows Phone 7. These include; Twitter and LinkedIn integration, multitasking, voice-guided GPS and the new Internet Explorer 9 web browser.
On the hardware front, the phone packs a reasonable 1GHz processor, powering its 3.6-inch (480 x 800) touchscreen. You’ll also find a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with 720p HD video, 8GB of built-in memory, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and a 1300mAh battery.
Impressed? You can pre-order the Acer Allegro from Expansys for £259.99 SIM free.
