Verizon’s Samsung Stratosphere Pricing Unveiled Pictures

Samsung recently announced the new Samsung Stratosphere smartphone. This handset comes with a large 4 inch touchscreen display as well as a slide-out five-row QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Stratosphere runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. This handset will be exclusively available for the Verizon Wireless customers in the US.

Samsung Stratosphere features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, sporting a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, TouchWiz UI, five-row QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash, HD (720p) video playback, DVD-quality (480p) video recording, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and so on.

Other features include a 3.5 mm headset jack, Mobile Hotspot Capability, DLNA connectivity, Samsung Media Hub, Bluetooth 3.0, 4G Connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Android Market, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 4 GB memory card bundled, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and support for Cisco AnyConnect 2.1 SSL VPN.

This handset comes with the mobile hotspot capability, which allows you to share your 4G connection with up to 8 WiFi enabled devices or a 3G connection with up to 5 WiFi enabled devices. You can get this handset for $149.99 with a 2 year service agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate. Samsung Stratosphere will be available for purchase from October 13.
