Patriot Memory today added yet another model to its solid state drive lineup, the Pyro SE. As it is now quite usual with the SSDs on the market, this one features MLC NAND flash chips, Sandforce controller and SATA 6.0Gbps interface.

The new Pyro SE SSD is packed in a 2.5-inch casing and as noted feature SATA 6.0Gbps interface. The insides are based on MLC NAND flash memory chips that are paired up with a Sandforce SF-2281 controller. This combination give the Pyro SE read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s, while the maximum 4kB write perfomance is set at 85,000 IOPS. The new Patriot Pyro SE features TRIM support, as well as DuraClass and DuraWrite technologies.

The new Pyro SE lineup will be available in 60, 120 and 240GB capacities. Unfortunately, the price or the availabilty date haven't been announced.
