Motorola Droid RAZR Smartphone Specifications and Pictures
Motorola’s latest and greatest Android smartphone – the Droid RAZR, simply known as RAZR outside the US – will be available in Australia soon.
For the beginning, Optus will be the only Australian network to offer the Motorola RAZR. The carrier is currently accepting pre-orders for the handset online.
According to Optus, “if you order your Motorola RAZR on the $79 Optus Cap plan or above, you will receive a Motorola RAZR Work, Play, and Drive Kit valued at $298.” The Kit includes an HD multimedia dock, HDMI cable, Android Bluetooth keyboard, Android Bluetooth mouse, Active Car Cradle (with mount and charger), and a 3.5mm cable.
Customers who pre-order the RAZR until October 28 should receive it starting November 1.
The Motorola RAZR is also available for pre-order unlocked in Australia, thanks to Mobicity, which asks $699 for the new dual-core, Super AMOLED qHD smartphone.
The new RAZR runs Android Gingerbread (with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich promised for later), and is the world’s thinnest smartphone, measuring only 7.1mm (the camera bump is not that thin though).
