Pantech and AT&T have teamed up to offer customers a new and very cheap messaging phone called the Pantech Link II. The new phone sells for only $9.99 with a new contract after the discounts. The device is thin with a profile 10.7mm thick.

It runs the BREW Mobile 1.0.2 operating system and has a keyboard for fast and easy messaging. The mobile phone can also access any social media the user wants and has preloaded apps for AT&T family Map, Social Net, Navigator, and Code Scanner.

The phone has a rubber backing for better grip and to help it survive drops. The phone charges via USB and is in store right now for users to purchase. This would make a nice phone for a first mobile device for a younger user.
