Buffalo (representative Saiki Kuniaka, www.buffalotech.co.kr), a company specialized in network and PC peripheral devices, announced 'DVSM-PC58U2,' a portable multi DVD drive, on Sep 21.

DVSM-PC58U2 is a DVD drive with highly strengthened portability by high glossy design and features 1.7cm of thickness, 14.5cm and 15.2cm of width and height, and 340g of weight. It's especially convenient for users of MacBook Air, netbook and mini notebook, which don't have DVD drive, to carry in laptop carrier.

Furthermore, it's operated only with electric power provided through USB without additional electric power supply or charging adapter and can be offered power via Boost USB connector when shortage of power. It supports 8 times speed of reading and writing for DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD+R, 5 times for DVD-RAM, and 24 times for CD-R and CD-RW.

The price is 47,000 (KRW) and is available in two colors - black and white.
